tribute \\ goyena a. manluctao

by: Chris Dumlao

I got a call from an old high-school friend a couple weeks ago.  As great as it was to hear from him, the conversation was bittersweet.  He had just informed me that his mom (64) had passed away.  I offered to capture the memorial service on video a couple of days later.

The memorial was beautiful, yet very emotional.  It was obvious that she was extremely loved.  Though I have never met Mrs. Manluctao, I had a difficult time putting together this tribute video for her family.  She left behind a loving husband, two sons, and a couple of very sweet grandchildren.

I just wanted to say that your coverage on this most difficult time was actually so beautifully done, that I was in tears from beginning to end. Your company truly has a wonderful gift of media and narration. My heart and prayers go out to Manluctao family, even though I have never met them. Thank you Starcrossd creative for sharing the world your God given talents.

  • Chris and the rest the gang @ Starcrossd,

I enjoyed watching this film. It reminded me of my girlfriend’s grandfather who passed away this past summer and I was behind the lens of my Nikon. I never thought of photographing a funeral/viewing service.. but at the end, it was one of the best things I have ever done with my photography.

You TRULY captured the moment for the Manluctao family, filled with emotion and memories that will last an eternity. And you did it with the same Starcrossd finesse and style that people know you for!

I’m sure the Manluctao family couldn’t have made a better decision to choose Starcrossd for one of the most important days of their lives.

May God continue to outbless you all and keep up the fantastic work! I look forward to working with you soon in December!

  • Chris,

i know its been over a year, but i wanted to thank you again for everything…
