Who/What is Starcross’d Films?
Starcross’d Films is us! In order for us to fully describe what we do and what we have planned for the future, we decided to diversify our name to Starcross’d Creative!
How long will it take to receive my film?
Because of the amount of work and creativity we put into every wedding film we create, it may take several hours/days to complete. Typically, it might take us 6-8 months to complete a wedding DVD depending on the time of year your wedding was filmed and where we sit in our post-production cue. We take great pride in making your wedding film unique, therefore we ask for your patience as we produce the best edit possible for you.
Raw Footage discs are delivered 4-6 weeks after your wedding, and Same-Day Edits are posted online within 1 week of your wedding date.
Do you choose the music?
We want your wedding DVD to reflect your personality and style. Therefore, we encourage your input in choosing the music. We send out questionnaires before the wedding that would help give us a direction on what type of music to use. Most of the time, our couples trust our judgement in choosing the music.
Why are other videographers priced differently from you?
We don’t know why other videographers are priced the way they are. We do know, though, that our prices reflect the amount of work and creativity that we put into every wedding film we produce. We strongly believe in the expression “you get what you pay for.” We put immense care and attention-to-detail within every frame of our videos. No cookie-cutters here!
We are on a tight budget, can you help us out a little?
We have worked hard to put together investment plans that would try to accommodate all couples with different budgets. Though all our prices are set, we do offer different payment structures and creative solutions (such as deferred edits) to get you the wedding film that you truly want! What’s a concept film?
Concept Films are Starcross’d Creative’s créme de la créme – as featured on EventDV Magazine! They are, essentially, a short film featuring you! It is produced before your wedding and premiered during the reception! Our Concept Productions include conceptualizing, scripting, and storyboarding of your original story. We’re not actors, I don’t think there’s a concept film for us.

What is a Same-Day Edit?
A Same-Day Edit (or SDE) is a highlighted 2-5 minute video that is quickly edited on the day of your wedding and later shown during the reception! Imagine being able to relive the events of your wedding day instantly. SDEs are also uploaded online days after your wedding so that guests who weren’t able to attend can easily view it online. A Starcross’d SDE compares to no other, and is guaranteed to be an incredible and emotional treat for you and your guests.
Do you travel?
We LOVE to travel! We have filmed weddings up and down the California Coast, but would love to travel to different parts of the country.
What does Starcross’d mean?
Starcross’d comes from one of our most beloved stories of all time – Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet. When deciding on a company name, we wanted something that was both romantic and at the same time a reflection of how we perceive life. Romeo + Juliet stopped at nothing to be together. And just the same, we don’t allow obstacles or failure to stop us from reaching our goals.
